PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Developed as a surgical grade anti-microbial scrub as an alternative to alcohol-based hand rubs for use in applications where alcohol is rejected due to religious or ethnic objections, where hands are sensitive to the drying effect of alcohol and where safety or abuse is a problem.
Does not contain gelling agents - Unlike gel sanitisers, this product does not contain gelling agents that leave the hands feeling sticky, particularly after multiple use.
Gives protection against bacteria, mycobacteria, yeasts/fungi, and enveloped viruses.
Offers a smooth, kind and gentle covering to the skin.
Where to use: Suitable for areas in Healthcare where alcohol is considered a risk e.g. mental health and elderly care facilities as well as organisations operating in high risk areas or where alcohol is not appropriate such as prisons, food manufacturing and education facilities. Also suitable for use in places of worship and where religion does not allow use of alcohol.
PRODUCT APPLICATION Apply sparingly to hands through suitable foam dispensers. Work into difficult areas, around nails, between fingers, wrists and forearms. Continue until the hands are dry. This will take longer than for an alcohol-based product so allow for the extra time required.
Applying as a foam will ensure the most economic use of the product and aid the hand drying process.
BIOCIDAL PROPERTIES: The biocidal actives are Didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride and Chlorhexidine digluconate. These provide a broad spectrum of activity against gram negative and gram-positive bacteria, fungi and moulds. The biocides have also been shown to be effective against enveloped viruses such as HIV, Hepatitis B, H1N1.
